Calligraphy

Calligraphy is the art of beautiful writing. For me, it is an expression of giving from my heart to the hand.  It's personal and warm and invites the reader to enjoy and even savour the words that are on the page.  It shows that the person who is sending the message appreciates the intimacy of the ink as it conveys a message on the beautiful fibres of the paper....so ya, a little on the hokey side but that is MY view of the CALLIGRAPHY experience.  It seems a little "over the top" for some people, but for those of us who have studied letterforms and practiced them over and over again, it's much richer than just pretty writing.  

However YOU look at CALLIGRAPHY, we can both agree that it's lovely to look at, has a personal and elegant touch and is always used for special occasions.
