Resin Art: Trio of Trees
$85
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 11am - 3pm
Back again this year because it's so popular for the Christmas season!
Each participant is given three trees with a base to transform into their own magical table centerpiece. The tree blanks and base are made from `1/4" baltic birch and fit snuggly together but can be taken apart for storage. Another option is to have each tree on its own individual small square base.
We have the 11" round base with the trees in a circular pattern with an area in the middle to place a candle, small bowl, or any other decorative items you may want to display OR you can choose to display them on their separate/individual bases so they can be displayed in a different way! In the picture shown below, I have an acrylic mini tree which lights up and a small glass deer. Pine cones or other items would also look so beautiful.
The second option is three trees standing independently on their own bases and they can be displayed as a grouping or split them up and have them arranged however you like. This then allows you to decorate each tree as a separate work of art in various colours!Sizes are the same for both options: Trees are 7-10.25" high
What to Expect During the Class:
You will be given ample time and product to practice with prior to doing your resin on your trees so that alleviates the pressure of not being sure how things will go. This way you can test your colour combination choices as well as have the opportunity to see how resin flows and blends etc. Your Creative Coach BerylAnne will provide you with demonstrations and direction on how to prep, mix resin (various pastes, alcohol inks, glitters, diamond dust, interference powders, alcohol ink, mica powders, etc. will be available); move resin and how to control it to give you a desired result. Create cells, lacing and stunning colour variations with all the variety of supplies on hand. You will practice on three small pieces of wood board beforehand (to represent the width of the trees) and then when you feel comfortable, you will resin your final piece and decorate it with reflective glass, german glass WOW!., small swarovski flatback crystals, glitter, diamond dust, aurora flakes, whatever you can find that you would like to put on your treasure of trees!!!
Resin requires a minimum of 12 hours to cure so you won't be able to take your project home with you the same day. Part of this is a teaching workshop where previous experience is not required but helpful and there is an age requirement of 18+. Dress accordingly as resin is impossible to remove once on your clothes (aprons and gloves are provided).
Refreshments such as pop, water, coffee & tea and a little snack are included but feel free to bring your own if you want.
Lower level studio location so one flight of stairs (with solid railing) is involved.
All supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.
P LEASE NOTE: If you are unable to purchase your registration here through EB, please contact BerylAnne, memoriesaremade@gmail.com directly. There are cancellations and spots become available that aren't indicated here.

Alcohol Ink: Christmas Decorations
$45
Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 6-9pm
Have you ever wondered "what's all the stink about ALCOHOL INK?" Well, this is your opportunity to find out and I promise it's an amazing medium to explore. Alcohol ink is an acid-free, vividly-colored, alcohol-based dye that is liquid, translucent and fast drying. It is best used on non-porous surfaces (e.g. ceramics, synthetic papers, glass, etc).
Versatile, unpredictable, mesmerizing, relaxing and affordable! Alcohol ink art spans across talent levels and experience because it's not really a medium that lends itself well to being controlled - which is why is perfect for beginners and established artists alike. There are always happy accidents that delight and surprise. No matter what you think of your creativity, everyone will make something beautiful during this workshop; but keep in mind that creating art is not about producing a product rather it's about enjoying and learning through the process of unexpected discoveries !
The decorations are a wide variety of shapes and sizes: glass white and clear balls in small and large, bells, sublimation tiles, icicles, deer, and a few surprises as well. This class will be fast-paced and enjoyable for all creatives regardless of skill level or age! In the end, you will be taking home some lovely decorations that you've created PLUS the knowledge of this wild and unpredictable ink medium. There is an endless supply of glitter and bling to decorate your items; foils, metallics, fake snow, jewels.....etc.
NOTE: We will be using 99% isopropyl alcohol which does have a strong odor (VOC) and NOT suitable for elderly and very young people. Workshop is in the lower level so you will be required to go up and down one flight of stairs (with a sturdy banister) independently.
Gloves and aprons are provided. Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and assorted pre-packaged treats like chocolate bars and chips are here for you but you can bring something of your own choice as well.
Preferred registration by etransfer to memoriesaremade@gmail.com or by using this ticket agent, Eventbrite.

Extra Large Charcuterie/Presentation Board
$110
Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 11am-3pm
Come to learn how to create a one-of-a-kind presentation board using FDA food safe resin and if you want to add a variety of amazing embellishments that are on hand in the Studio, you have that option as well. Others have adorned their boards with things like mirrored reflective glass, glass gems, metallic foils, german glass, sand, rocks or even pieces of jewelry to take your creation to the next level. If you have a special family heirloom or memento that means a lot to you that you think would be a beautiful addition to your board, please bring it along with you and we can explore that idea together.
There are an endless variety of resin pigment pastes for colour choices and more mica powder than you'll ever wish for - so the options are staggering and only limited to your imagination; but don't worry at all about coming up with a concept for your board because we have a ton of inspirational pieces to motivate you and jumpstart the creative process. Your Creative Coach, BerylAnne also provides pictures of resin pours that others have done to give you some insight as to what can be achieved with some direction and knowledge of various techniques. Even those who have said, "I don't have a creative bone in my body" have creatied something they are incredibly proud of having done!
No other workshop gives you a such a variety of colours, resin & tools at your disposal and the ability to do a practice piece before you start your finished board. The reason we do this is for you to use the colours that you chose and to "practice" the techniques you will be taught by the Coach before you do them on your presentation/charcuterie board so you get a really good vision of what your board will end up looking like. This has been one of the things that sets my resin workshops apart - "play" through "practice" is such an important aspect to feeling comfortable with resin and the techniques that will be demonstrated.
Your Creative Coach will go over the basics of resin (safety, where to buy, what's available); board prep, will then demonstrate the most popular techniques to achieve cells & lacing, swiping, using a heat gun & torch, mixing colours with pastes/mica powders and lastly how to further adorn your boards if that's what you decide you want to do.
Each person is supplied with an extra large 39"x8" solid birch board with a handle on which to do your resin pour and enough resin to cover half the board allowing some of the woodgrain of the board to show. If you do decide to cover the entire board with a resin pour, there will be an additional cost of $20 for the resin. No previous experience with resin is necessary but you must be 18+ to participate or 16+ accompanied by an adult. Class number is limited and this is a popular workshop so sign up quickly.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Resin takes a minimum of 12 hours to cure so you will not be permitted to take your board home with you but can make arrangements to pick it up the next day or at a time that is convenient.
Dress in old clothing as resin is unforgiving and impossible to remove from clothes; aprons and gloves are provided. The Studio is in the lower level so being able to go up and down one flight stairs independently is necessary. Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and pre-packaged snacks are provided you can bring something of your own choice as well.
Registration: Preferred method is by etransfer directly to memoriesaremade@gmail.com or by using our ticketing agent, Eventbrite.

Resin Art: Side Table Tray
$120
Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 11am-3pm
NEW for FALL 2025!
This workshop is new for fall but I have a feeling it's going to be a very popular one for anytime of the year!
Working with resin is amazing and the possibilities are endless - really!
Each participant is given a choice of black/white/beige/sage green table tray to do their resin art on (colours choices are limited and is first registered/first selection). The dimensions are: 17.5" round/wide (tray) and the base is 21" tall.
You can use the removable tray for serving independently and the tray’s edges make it easy to carry and reduces the risk of glasses or bowls sliding off. The design makes it easy to put the tray back after use since you place it directly on the table frame without having to fit it into any holes. The durable, powder-coated steel surface is easy to clean and has a smooth satin finish with a subtle and attractive reflection. The tray is well-balanced and the proportions of the tray, legs and lower cross create a nice contrast between the thickness of the legs and the tray. You can easily lift and move the entire table, for example from the sofa to the reading chair as it's not heavy or awkward but is made from robust materials provide long-lasting quality and help with stability.
Your Creative Coach (BerylAnne) will provide you with demonstrations and direction on how to prep, mix resin to achieve the colour(s) you want to use; manipulate & move resin as well as how to control it to give you a desired result; create cells, lacing and stunning colour variations with access to the large selection of supplies on hand. You will be using a small torch and heat gun to assist is popping the gas bubbles in the resin and to move the resin around on your backboard if you want a blended/marbled look to your resin. As with all my workshops, you will first be given an opportunity to do a practice piece in order to to experiment with your colour choices and techniques that you will learn. This helps you get a bit more comfortable with how the resin flows and allows time to tweek your colour choices before you start your final piece.
We will be using a combination of 4 techniques in resin to attain some amazing results that I am absolutely certain you will be happy with.

Do you have a project you need help finishing - or starting! Couldn't get into a specific workshop due to scheduling issues, etc. Want access to the supplies necessary to create something but don't want to purchase everything individually on your own? If so, then this is YOUR kind of afternoon.
“OPEN STUDIO“ is an exciting opportunity for everyone who attends as each one of you will most likely be working on something completely different. This is a great way to see how others’ project visions come together and hopefully we all learn a trick or two just by observing and sharing of our collective knowledge and ideas. This is NOT a teaching workshop where I offer a specific skill-set tin which everyone will be doing the same but I am here to assist all participants achieve some kind of individual end result. My expectation of you is that you already know the basics of whatever the project is that you choose to do (ie: resin: how to mix the resin , the ratio for colour additive, how to use mica powders, how and when to use the torch/heat gun, etc). My role will be to float from person to person assisting each one by answering questions and offering advice on whatever it is you have chosen to do. Your patience during this time will be essential and much appreciated as in essence, there is a variety of different projects going on simultaneously.
As far as specific projects that you will be working on, I ask that you email me in advance and asap with what it is that you want to be doing during our time together and if you may need to purchase any larger items from the studio (ie; lazy susan, two tier tray, wood blank form, etc.). If you wish to use anything that isn’t included in your $45/minimum registration fee, I will give you costs on those items during the class and you can purchase them here so bring CASH as I don’t accept credit cards or etransfers during open studio. I am excited to see how our day unfolds - so be prepared, focused, patient and flexible with our time together!
The additional cost for the project you choose over and above the $45 (if applicable) will be determined by the complexity of the project and time involved as well as the supplies used.
Please Note: YOU MUST BOOK YOUR TIME SLOT IN ADVANCE with a deposit of $45
Our Creative Coach, BerylAnne is available to discuss details with you by emailing memoriesaremade@gmail.com or by calling 403.483.7270

UV Resin: Organic and Nature-Inspired Jewelry Making Workshop
$45 all supplies included
Saturday, July 19, 2025 11am-3pm
Welcome to the world of possibilities with UV resin and jewelry. The combination is endless and I have to warn you, totally ADDICTING!
Ultraviolet resin cures in minutes so your creations don't have to sit overnight or for endless hours to be ready. UV resin therefore is perfect for making small items like jewelry, key chains, small bookmarks, etc.
This is a great introductory class because you don’t need experience in using resin nor do you have to wait endless hours for it to cure....you just put your item under the UV lamp and it’s ready in minutes. This workshop offers a wonderful variety of items for you to choose from and will not be a class where everyone has to complete the same pieces. Each person’s taste and style is unique and as such, I have structured this class to meet your needs as an individual and as someone who may want to create pieces that are special to you or someone else that you may be making a gift for (ie: memorial ashes). Everyone is given 10 “points” for this class and you get to choose what pieces you want to create (each piece is assigned a point value). Once you are registered, you will be sent samples of what’s available with their point value so have a look ahead of time and hopefully narrow down your choices. You are also given a few free pieces to practice on before you begin your selected choices and there are tons of items in the studio that you can use to decorate and create your treasures! If you have any special mementos or items that you think you may want to incorporate into part of your design/jewelry, I encourage you to bring them along and we can explore that option together. *inventory varies from class to class so some items may not be available or there may be new items which are not on the sample sheets
There are a mesmerizing supply of decorative elements to use in your creations such as pressed flowers, glitter, mica powders, diamond dust, german glass, ocean/sea embellishments, reflective glass, rhinestones, embeds and MORE! This class will lean toward using PRESSED FLOWERS and other ORGANIC materials such as wood bezels, walnut shells, all kinds of woodsy critter embeds, as well as natural stones/agates/turquoise, etc. which can be made in to pendants!
You will be learning which colorants are best for UV resin and how to achieve depth in your pieces by designing in multiple layers. We will be using a variety of open and closed bezels and also have access to additives like opal powders & colour shift mica and foils to enhance your jewelry designs.
The hardest part will be to narrow down what you want to do during our 4 hours together!
If you have any mini treasures that you want to incorporate into your jewelry, please bring everything with you because it's absolutely amazing to create something personal and your Creative Coach, BerylAnne will be thrilled to assist you (ie: pieces of jewelry, little bits of lace or fabric, lock of hair, tiny photographs).

Alcohol Ink on Canvas Workshop
$75 all supplies included
Saturday, July 12, 2025 11am-3pm
NEW WORKSHOP FOR 2025
Have you ever wondered "what's all the stink about ALCOHOL INK?" Well, this is your opportunity to find out and I promise it's an amazing medium to explore.
This introductory class with alcohol ink is ABSTRACT not conceptual so we will not be focusing on how to paint landscapes or specific objects with the ink, just how to mix and move colours in various techniques that you can further experiment with on your own. Not to say that you won't be discovering some amazing backgrounds magically appearing as you move the ink on your paper or items that look like florals etc.!
Enjoy the simple process of dripping ink onto synthetic paper and ceramic tiles, tilt and swirl it, blow it with a straw for a dazzling effect, feather it, blend it with metallic mixatives for a rich shimmer, add texture by using felt, spritzing with spray bottles, etc.
Each of you will be doing three 8x8 white canvas pieces with your choice of colours and embellishments for added "pizzaz!"
On hand to try out will be the blow dryers used to move the ink, giotto rocket, as well as an airbrush. and many colours of ink to sample! We will learn what products are available and where is the best place to purchase them. We will also learn how to seal projects when finished because alcohol ink can fade and be reactivated if left without a finish. NOTE: We will be using 99% isopropyl alcohol which does have a strong odor (VOC).
All supplies necessary for this workshop are provided in the registration fee but if you have some of your own items that you want to bring to class, please do so. Gloves and aprons are provided. Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and assorted treats are here for you but you can bring something of your own choice as well.
Preferred registration by etransfer to memoriesaremade@gmail.com or by using this ticket agent, Eventbrite.

This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!

Stunning Resin OPAL Workshop
March 8/25 11am-3pm
$90
Using various sizes of both manmade and natural crystals, coloured resin pigments, mica powder, glass gravel and shattered glass with reflective qualities, stunning german glass, metallic foils, and interference powders, you will be designing your magical geode-look-alike-fire opal lantern.
Each person will choose a metal lantern which has four glass doors that will be removed and transformed in to four separate geode pieces of art. There are a variety of lanterns available for you to choose from (white, aluminum, black, beige, red) and are medium sized (11" to 13" high). You can use one colour cohesively for all four panels or go wild and do each piece in a totally different colour pallett. You will have access to other decorative materials such as liquid silver chrome, liquid gold, shattered glass which can be coloured with alcohol inks, glass gravel and silver/gold/rose gold foil, mica powders & epoxy pigments and my new aurora flakes which are SO AMAZING. You will also be given an opportunity to do a practice glass panel before you actually start your lantern panels to try out your colour scheme and technique. We also have drawn templates for those who want a little inspiration in the design of their panels!
These lanterns look amazing when lit from within because you will be able to see through the designs on the glass which give you such a fantastic light show! So, if you wish, there will be battery operated lights for inside the lantern to purchase for a small additional fee.
Although all supplies are included in this class, if you have items you think you may want to incorporate into your design, you are encouraged to bring them along with you (ie: broken jewelry, stones, special memento, etc.)
No previous experience is necessary to participate in this workshop. Minimum age is 18 but if you are younger, pre-approval is possible and you will need to speak directly to the Creative Coach. Class size is limited.
***Please Note: Resin requires time to cure so lanterns can not be taken home with you; they will need to be picked up the next day or when it's convenient.
Dress comfortably in old clothing as we are working with resin; gloves and aprons are provided. The art Studio is in the lower level so one flight of stairs (with a bannister) are involved.
Refreshments such as coffee, tea, pop, water and pre-packaged treats like chocolate bars & chips are offered but if you want to bring your own beverage/snack, please do so.

There are endless ideas for the outcome of your artwork as each one of you will have a different idea in mind of what you want to create. As with the Aurora Borealis, no two will EVER be the same.
Basic techniques for resin manipulation will be demonstrated by your Creative Coach and you will be given ample time and product to practice these prior to doing your final pour on your bear so that alleviates the pressure of not being sure how things will go. This way you can test your colour combination choices as well as have the opportunity to see how resin flows and blends etc. In this workshop, you will be using the "swipe technique" with interference mica powders to create the stunning Aurora Borealis on your piece. Your Creative Coach BerylAnne will provide you with demonstrations and direction on how to prep, mix resin (huge variety of various colour pastes, alcohol ink, mica powders, etc. will be available for you to choose from); move resin and how to control it to give you a desired result. There will be heat guns and also fire torches provided for you to use during the workshop. Create cells, lacing and stunning colour variations with all the variety of supplies on hand. You will practice on a pieces of black foamcore beforehand and then when you feel comfortable, you will proceed to resin your piece. Guidance will be provided every step of the way with handouts and suggestions from the Coach.
*PLEASE NOTE: Resin requires a minimum of 12 hours to cure so you won't be able to take your project home with you the same day.
This is a teaching workshop where previous experience is definitely an asset but not mandatory. This workshop is considered an intermediate level and you must be 14+ and accompanied by an adult or 18 to attend. Dress accordingly as resin is impossible to remove once on your clothes (aprons and gloves are provided).
Refreshments such as pop, water, coffee & tea and a little snack are included but feel free to bring your own if you want.
Lower level studio location so stairs are involved.
All supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.
